What's new

Every release, newest first. Your one-time license includes every 1.x update. Subscribe (Atom feed).

Try Pro first, and never lose your key

  • Free users can now try every Pro chart and analysis tool on its built-in example before buying.
  • Your license key is emailed to you after you pay, with a link that unlocks LimitLine on any device.
  • Lost your key or switched computers? In the app, open License and choose “Lost your key, or using a new device?” to get it emailed again.
  • Customize on the Free plan: chart titles, units, target line, Cpk goal, date or lot labels, colors and height.
  • New Learn guides with worked examples: Cp and Cpk, I-MR and X̄-R charts, the p chart, the 8 Nelson rules, choosing a control chart, gauge R&R and OEE.

Student price, phone layout and the PDF report

  • Student license ($15): confirm your school email with a 6-digit code, then pay. Manual checks for certification candidates.
  • The app now works properly on a phone.
  • One-page PDF report of any chart (Pro).
  • Save and open project files with your data and settings; they stay on your device.
  • Public validation page: every published reference case LimitLine is tested against, with the datasets to rerun them yourself.
  • New logo and a cleaner, centred site design.

More accurate, more checks

  • Cpk and Ppk now show a 95% confidence interval, so small samples don't look more certain than they are.
  • Run charts use the Anhøj rules (longest run and number of crossings).
  • More accurate means and standard deviations on hard data (compensated summation), checked against NIST's certified accuracy datasets on every release.
  • Laney p′, u charts with unequal units and gauge R&R are checked against published examples on every release.
  • Refunded purchases no longer keep a working license key, and license checks were hardened.

LimitLine launches

  • Control charts (I-MR, X̄-R, X̄-S, p, np, c, u), Nelson rules and capability (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk) in the browser, with plain-English verdicts.
  • Scan a photo, PDF, Word or Excel file into numbers.
  • Analysis tools (hypothesis tests, regression, gauge R&R, 2-level DOE and more) and Lean · TPS tools (OEE, takt and line balance, kanban, heijunka).
  • Free plan, and Pro as a one-time purchase. Your data stays on your device.
